Life at Tampines JC
Hey guys. It has been a while since I blogged cause I needed to deal with a lot of pressing issues at the moment. Anyway, my 1st announcement is that I am now part of the student body of Tampines JC. Yes, Tampines. Now, many of you are like wondering what the hell a Clementi boy is doing all the way in Tampines, right? Well, the thing is TPJC's like my 10th choice and i guess MOE decided to give that for God-Knows-What. My appeals to Catholic JC and Nanyang JC also did not work out. So now I'm stuck with travelling 1 and a 1/2 hours to Tampines all day long. Poor me.
Good things about TPJC:
1) The canteen is well maintained and the food is great at cheap prices. What I have always wanted after being starved in that horible secondary school canteen...
2) DRAMA ROCKS! YEAH!! Well, I've joined drama and guess what? I got a part through auditioning for the upcoming Singapore Youth Festival! Is that cool or what? It's a dream come true. The members and teachers are so hip and happening I've never felt better anywhere else. I love it!!
3) The Literature teacher. Ok, actually it's the subject. (plus the teacher also lah...) The way she's going to teach the subject is so interesting and exciting that even the PAE sessions pale in comparison with her single lecture. Additional feature's that the teacher is super cool.
4) The people. I've met quite a few nice guys who're friendly and cheerful enough to hang out with. Although I still miss the MI peeps and my PAE class 06A3.
Bad things about TPJC(Didn't really want to include this section but no choice, have to vent my frustration somewhere...):
1) The distance to travel. Taking a MRT for 40 minutes plus and following that with a 20 minutes bus journey to the JC is seriously depressing. Especially with all those crap people hugging and kissing and groping and making out like siao on the MRT when it gets crowded. (Don't want to go too much into the details, it's really gross...)
2) Orientation sucks. Really sucks to the core. PAE Orientation was so much more fun. Although the mass dance item was not too bad, it was nothing compared to the pole dancing at MI.
Ok, so that's my assessment of this JC that I'm going to go to for the next 2 years. Not too bad, just the time management part to deal with. But I'm sure it will work out. Well, hopefully it will.
